Jesus in pink.

This weekend was a retreat to Griffin, Georgia where God's Word and Love was shared and enjoyed in the company of beautiful people.

It was good. He is Good.

There was an old horse there, too.

Age 11.

Found this treasure at her grandmother's house.

High School. Talent. Show.

I forgot what it's like to have this specific kind of energy for life.
It made me smile (but not miss it).

Show stealer below. He was fan-tastic.

Why can't every tax form come with chocolate?

We would all be much more receptive.

Thank ya, dear Claire. You ROCK.

"Whatever, we got the mousse."

(In no particular order) This was my today.

Road Trip part three:
"Wait, you dropped your phone in the shake?"

So, our trip came to a close, we said our "bye, love yas" to the Engers, and strapped back on our seatbelts. The car trip home was made in one, very long, very very long ride, but with laughs along the way, of course.
Here is the majority of what I witnessed throughout the day:

Tom driving. (He drove the entire way this time, folks. Hats off.)

Faith reading.

Bridges. (Yup, they are still there when you drive in the opposite direction.)

Meanwhile, the scenery, the ipod, and a wandering mind were my most faithful companions. (And Roma too! Thanks for the texts, Romanina; you truly kept me company.)

We were appreciative to get home safely, and we continue to relish in the memories of the trip.

I am truly blessed.

24/365.

Noah.
LOVE him. (obviously.)

Noah with Lolli. Noah with Pops.

Noah with Auntie.

23/365.

Noah Matias turns one!

Noah with his proud parents and yummy birthday cake!

And he's off and running with his new car from Aunt Amy and Aunt Sara.
He's gonna grow up fast, that's for sure...

Happy Birthday to Romanina and her mom on this same day.
Yay for the 23rd of January!

Road trip part two:
"You're a wreck."

Here we are on the second leg of the journey, leaving Hardrock Hotel, where Pops and I stayed the night before. The shower had three shower heads, I won $300 with rookie luck at Flop Poker, and Dad and I had some definite father-daughter bonding when we enjoyed my win over a milkshake and root beer float.

SO, onward! Here's a shot I got when we were waiting for this train to pass (after being on the road less than five minutes). I was playing with the color feature on my camera and was fortunate enough to get this one (I was on a role with the luck).

Despite the train delay, we started out with high morale, Tom teaching me many things along the way...
I learned all about how bridges are built, that bridges are very important to this area of the country, and that there is some very historically important onramp to a bridge in Louisiana that all engineers know about. I now know many things about bridges that I will probably soon forget.

As the hours wore on, Tom kept his eyes on the road while I played the supportive passenger role.

After some more talk about bridges, and Vietnam, we finally made it!!!
This. Is Houston.
Concrete heaven.

On to the Engers' place!!!
And to see sweet Noah.
Now only one more hour to get across the city...

But oh how the drive was worth it.
Thanks for the miles, Dad-O. :)

Road trip part one:
"Just go to the Gulf of Mexico and take a left."

Well, Tom Harwood and I embarked on a two-day, 14-hour+ journey that gave us many a laugh, few disagreements (mainly about the speedometer), and certainly a trip to remember. Here are shots of the first leg from Atlanta, Georgia to Biloxi, Mississippi.

The faithful roadster.

Some essential snacks.

Another sunset to blur the vision
but beautiful in the end, as always.

Dinner With The Girls.

Had a night out with some amazing company.

These are my friends.

They are beautiful.

Fine dining at Paul's.

The Hungry Company.

The Chef.

The Meal.

Good Stuff.

I also had to include this one I got of lovely Danielle
in action. I just love her expression when she's capturing a moment. She's priceless.

You'd think I get enough coffee at work...

Manager's Special.

Tonight my sister Amy and I ventured out to find some deals.
And deals we found.

Two thumbs up (!) for this entire rack of Christmas items that were 75% off or more.

Of course, the manager's special at Kroger is always a steal and a Harwood favorite.
Here's some more thumbs up for the deals as well as a shot of the girl attached to the thumbs, as she patiently poses for me.

This the "Sara I'm losing my patience and Walgreens is closing" look.

Good day, good deals, good sis.

Soup: it's what's for dinner.

Randomly, the Harwood clan threw together two different types of international soups for supper.
We chopped and seasoned...and didn't eat until almost 9pm.
It was worth it!

There were several steps in the preparation process.

Our international soup menu, from top to bottom:
Senegalese Peanut Soup and Mulligatawny (East Indian curry soup)
Both quite tasty!

Amy LOVES the soup. Deacon hopes for some soup drops.
It's a hard life being Deacon.

Happy Bowl!
