Remembering Home. Realizing Future.

Today, Deacon and I went for a walk.
He loves me.

I also worked on my support letter.
In the company of steamed milk and espresso, the task wasn't half-bad.

Last Day In VA.

Today I enjoyed my final ride (for a while) on a familiar route in Arlington.

Spent my last hours with friends at a home away from home,
my local coffee shop.

Amine and I took our last visit seriously.
Very seriously.

Thanks Virginia, I'm certainly gonna miss ya.
Be back soon!

Eastern Market..

With Katie B.!
face distortion. is cool.

Despite it always being so nice to meander about the knick knacks at the outdoor show & tell, Katie B. and I drifted away from the busy market today found a less distracting spot to enjoy our cold drinks. The time was spent the reminiscing about the good ol' days, and dreaming about what is to come. Ideal in every way.

Found this super great booth and thought of CoryBo and her amazing art and passion.

Today, I also visited my friend Abdo at work. He was nice enough to provide me with bandaids for my weary and blistered feet.
Thank you, my friend!

Finished my night with some pretty great company at Tarbouch.
I love them and they love me. :) :)

Soaking In The DC Sun..

With Lani!

Today we grabbed some sandwiches and amazing risotto balls from Taylor Gourmet and took them to enjoy among the monuments and tourists in the heart of the nation's capitol. The blooms on the famous trees of the annual Cherry Blossom Festival were definitely gone, but the day was still beautiful! Lani was a participant in the race the next day and had a great run. Great job, Lani!

This is my buddy, Romanina. Today she and I got to hang out a bit while I was visiting for the week. I am so thankful for her and her friendship. She likes me for me (even when dressed like Barney the dinosaur), and that's pretty cool. Sorry for this late edit to my post, Roma!

Sweet Virginia.

Today was beautiful.
Like nowhere else is the Spring in Virgina.

Met this little guy today on one of my many bus rides to the metro. He asked his mom if he could sit with me. :) I guessed his name, which naturally, is Superman. After we got acquainted, Superman proceeded to compare the powers of Superman to Spiderman with me, thoroughly convincing me of Superman's superior ways of keeping evil villains at bay and flying higher than Spiderman could ever reach with his webs. Yet still, this super hero was humble and explained that Spiderman is "still awesome" and his little brother's favorite action hero.
Thanks, Superman, for making my day.

My evening was spent at Tarbouch with friends.
Two treasures below: Amine and Marina.
