Echerd Farewell.
Tonight we celebrated the time that both Steve and Pam served in Bangladesh. Pam was already gone, but we enjoyed listening to Steve reflect on his experiences here. What a great difference their presence has made in Bangladesh.
Steve and I compared our heights.

Goodbye.
One last look at Bangkok, a sweet kiss on the cheek to Jerome, and then I was off...back home to Dhaka. I will miss you Azoti family!
Thank you for the ways you blessed me as neighbors, friends, compatriots in Dhaka, and finally as tourists together in Thailand.
God's peace shine upon you!
Muah!

Tourists in the rain.
A dreadfully dreary day to go sightseeing, but the Azoti family and I braved it anyway.
This was the last day I would get to spend with my Bangladeshi family from Togo. Due to visa issues, they stayed in Bangkok to finish up the fellows program while I returned to Dhaka.
It was a lovely last day spent in each other's company.
Took this last photo on our way home to our guesthouse...for more information about an organization that takes steps to rescue women in Thailand from the sex trade, please visit nightlifeinternational.com.

Bangkok!
The Azotis and I ventured over to Thailand to have the first debrief of our program.
This was one of about thirty checked bags of Daal (or Dall) that were on our flight from Bangladesh.
Jerome was pretty overwhelmed at first, but about 5 minutes later he was at the taxi stand speaking in Thai...that kid is seriously adaptable.

Iftar!
Finding myself in the midst of Ramadan, a traditional 40 day fast that is annually undertaken by Muslims worldwide, the building staff invited me for some snacks at sunset, (no eating or drinking from sunup to sundown). Below you can spot yummy puffed rice mixture along with dates, fresh fruits, sweet juice and some mighty warm company as a part of today's breaking of the fast.

More cat photos.
When all else fails, these two remain photo worthy (and continue to live up to their names).
