Tourists in the rain.
A dreadfully dreary day to go sightseeing, but the Azoti family and I braved it anyway.
This was the last day I would get to spend with my Bangladeshi family from Togo.  Due to visa issues, they stayed in Bangkok to finish up the fellows program while I returned to Dhaka.
It was a lovely last day spent in each other's company.

Took this last photo on our way home to our guesthouse...for more information about an organization that takes steps to rescue women in Thailand from the sex trade, please visit nightlifeinternational.com.

Bangkok!
The Azotis and I ventured over to Thailand to have the first debrief of our program.

This was one of about thirty checked bags of Daal (or Dall) that were on our flight from Bangladesh.

Jerome was pretty overwhelmed at first, but about 5 minutes later he was at the taxi stand speaking in Thai...that kid is seriously adaptable.

Dinner at the Azotis'.
A family that knows how to make you feel welcome.

Azotis for Dinner.

It was superb conversations, and laughs, of course.

Sweet Tea. Kitty Bath.

Today I brought some of the South to the East. It was a hit.

I also found out my kitties look quite like rats when wet...

But super cute when dry...I really can't decide who is cuter here...

A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood.

Today, Grace and Jerome took me to our local park. :)

My two new best friends in Dhaka.

That's a magazine rack that Jerome is chillin' in.

Jerome makes my day.

Need I say more?

Supper at Sara's.

My new friend Sara had Grace, Jerome, and me over for a pasta dinner.
We spoke French. Well, they did and I tried.

Roof and Ninja.

Today I discovered my roof.
And my new favorite neighbor.

From here on out, any photos that include both of us are taken with the camera timer and typically with instruction (from either of us) on how to pose.

Potluck.

Tonight I enjoyed my first dinner with some people that are also living in Bangladesh for a time. This included Jerome, one little trooper who came all the way from Togo.
